Just a short note to say that I attended your session Ntprs 2015 in Virginia. That's where i first heard about "Embedded Readings" from you. I brought this back to my school where I teach Hebrew to kids who have had Hebrew all through K-8 but really don't like learning Hebrew when they get to me because they have learning issues and the middle school teachers are very traditional. With me they love doing the embedded readings that I have created over the past two years and they seam to be acquiring the language for the first time slowly but surely. Thank you for exposing me to this.

I wanted to reach out this Sunday night to say thank you for your blog post about being kind to ourselves. It was just what the doctor ordered. I am in a new job, which has incredible potential, but for now I am struggling to gain my footing with planning, while working out a new curriculum for three preps, and changing a culture that was based on intimidation and exclusivity. Sunday nights are not often easy for me these days. Your post reminded me why I go to work every day, to show care and support for kids, many of whom, rich and poor, do not receive enough of either of those in their lives. I wish you the best.

I wanted to thank you for everything you did for us at Cape Henry. I personally learned so much from you in such a short time. Your enthusiasm is infectious! Your positive way of delivering the information affected us all. I wanted to let you know that when I picked up my son from wrestling I saw a student from Deanna's class, and he asked me "Did you meet Sra. Clarcq?" He continued by saying "She really was so enthusiastic about teaching Spanish that you couldn't help yourself from being enthusiastic about learning it!" :-) That sums it up for me! You were inspiring! Not to mention that last night I dreamed I was speaking Spanish fluently :)
